Pro-1 welcome Alex from Florida
Alex had quite an intense week involving gym sessions, learning modern day game techniques and understanding what it takes to play at the highest level. We allowed Alex to adjust in the first couple of sessions but then we started to turn the intensity up!
On day 1 we measured Alex up against other college goalkeepers here in England to let him see the difference in terminologies.
Day 2 was a morning sessions and then in the evening Alex trained with a semi professional side of the Ryman prem where players are paid a good wage for football. Again this gave Alex an insight of where he has to be in terms of ability to have a career here in England.
Day 3 was game day, Alex was placed in a game for West Ham development v Millwall, this was a real test as Alex had never played a game outside of America.
Armed with advice and good preparation Alex performed really well and left his mark on English soil. Alex returned home with a lot of experience earned in a short time and now he knows what he has to do to progress.
We will be seeing Alex again soon!
