After many years of success in the goalkeeping world head coach Dean Neil wanted to take things to the next level. With a national shortage of quality goalkeepers Dean thinks that there is not enough being done for the position of goalkeeping. “We need to do more to attract and develop young kids to become goalkeepers” says Neil.
With the coaching knowledge and playing experience to help develop goalkeepers into the professional game, Dean lacked 1 final piece of the jigsaw – a world class indoor venue available to train in all weathers and all conditions, all year round.
After five years of planning in February 2015 professional goalkeeper and coach Dean opened the UK’s first dedicated indoor goalkeeping centre. The Pro-1 Goalkeeping Academy centre has been well received worldwide and has a huge following on social media. “We have produced a professional indoor goalkeeping centre which boasts artificial 4G grass, full-size goals, conditioning area, fitness section, strength ropes, jump boxes, nutrition counter and much much more” says Neil”.
The Pro-1 Goalkeeping Academy has all the resources needed to train all year round and succeed to the highest level.
